Microsuction is a safe, effective ear cleaning technique that uses gentle suction and a microscope for precise removal of ear wax. Unlike syringing or irrigation, it does not involve introducing liquid into the ear canal, making it suitable for clients with ear infections, perforated eardrums, or grommets.

Our ear wax removal service is performed exclusively by accredited audiologists using state-of-the-art microsuction technology. We also provide before and after images using video otoscopy, so you can see exactly what’s going on inside your ears.

The standard fee is $140. For seniors aged 65 and above, we offer a discounted rate of $90. If no wax is found, a reduced consultation fee applies: $80, or $60 for seniors.

Yes. We recommend applying ear wax drops or olive oil into your ears once daily for 1 to 2 days before your appointment. This helps soften the wax, making the procedure quicker and more comfortable. If you have a known ear perforation, do not apply any drops.

Most clients find microsuction to be a quick and comfortable procedure. It is less invasive and cleaner than traditional methods, and doesn’t involve water — reducing the risk of infection.

Yes, we perform microsuction ear wax removal on children aged 10 years and above. For younger children, we recommend consulting a paediatric ENT for assessment.

Common signs include reduced hearing, a feeling of fullness in the ear, tinnitus (ringing), or discomfort. If you’re experiencing these symptoms, a quick video otoscopy by our audiologists can confirm if wax is the cause.

In rare cases where ear wax cannot be completely cleared during the initial 40-minute appointment, we may schedule a follow-up. The fee for this is $80, or $45 for seniors aged 65 and above.

Unfortunately, audiological ear wax removal is not covered by Medicare.
